The 24 Hour Songwriting Challenge 2019 is now CLOSED
The theme
Since the 24 Hour Songwriting Challenge is returning for the second year the theme we’ve chosen is RETURNING. We’re sure you’ll agree it opens up so many different songwriting possibilities and we can’t wait to see what all you talented songwriters out there come up with. It’s totally up to you how you interpret it – just remember songs that make it to the Showcase Event will be judged on lyrics, melody, composition and originality.
Race against the clock
Songwriters have between 7pm on Tuesday 26th March to 7pm on Wednesday 27th March when the 24 hour countdown timer runs out.
Only 20 places guaranteed
Not only will songwriters be battling against the clock to write their song in time, they’ll also be racing against other songwriters to claim one of only 20 guaranteed places available at the Showcase Event which starts at 1pm on Saturday 30th March at 24 Kitchen Street. Those wishing to claim a place will need to upload a document containing the lyrics for their finished song in order to register.
