24 Hour Art Challenge 2021
Terms and Conditions (i.e. the rules!)
Hey kids, we know ‘da rules’ aren’t the most exciting part of a challenge but they’re here for a reason. We didn’t particularly like writing a prescriptive list of items, but it’s the only way we can make sure everyone who enters knows what’s expected of them.

The Basics
- The 24 Hour Art Challenge is open to artist(s) of any age living in the UK.
- Artists under the age of 16 must have their parent’s permission to enter.
- The challenge is free to enter.
- Only one entry per artist (or collaboration of artists) is allowed.
The Song
- To take part in the challenge an artist needs to create a brand new work of art inspired by this year’s theme. The theme will be announced and the challenge starts at 12pm on Saturday 27th March 2021.
- Entries must be an original work of art, entirely the work of the entrant(s). The art can be in any physical or digital format.
- The art must have been created entirely during the period between 12pm on Saturday 27th March and 1pm on Sunday 28th March 2021.
Entering
- To enter the 24 Hour Art Challenge an artist should complete the online form which will be open from 12pm on Saturday 27th March and close at 1pm on Sunday 28th March 2021.
- All artists will also be required to upload an image of their art, or a photograph that best represents it.
- If the art is in 3D (sculpture, film, etc) artists will be able to upload a video in addition to the image.
- Artists will be asked for the name of their art, plus a description and the inspiration behind it.
Withdrawing
- Applicants can withdraw at any time by emailing challenge@liverpoolacoustic.co.uk
Gallery
- Once the 24 hours is over and all of the art will be added to an online gallery on the Challenge website, to be launched at 12pm on Saturday 3rd April 2021.
Permissions
- By entering the 24 Hour Art Challenge artists will grant full, unconditional, non-exclusive use of their art free of any licence, forĀ use in the future promotion of the competition and for use in the 24 Hour Songwriting Challenge.
- Artists will agree to allow the use of their names, likenesses, recordings, videos and voices for promotional and publicity purposes on the Liverpool Acoustic, Songwriting Challenge and Threshold Festival websites and social media and on other third party websites and in publicity and promotional materials and press releases.
And finally…
- By participating in the challenge entrants agree to be bound by these rules, by any subsequent published revisions of these rules, and by the decisions of Liverpool Acoustic which are final in all matters relating to the contest.
- The right is reserved to cancel the competition at any stage or amend any of the terms or details of the prizes as necessary.
